An upgraded Rock County Sheriff’s Office and jail is expected to be complete by the summer of 2024. The total project cost is $96 million and will include 200,000 square feet of new and remodeled spaces.Â

Commander Aaron Burdick points to where a row of pass-thru evidence lockers will be placed. The space will greatly increase the size of evidence storage for the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. They currently have a small evidence room onsite, no bigger than a large closet, and also use three separate off-site locations. This will allow them to store everything onsite.
