Pearson and Gilliam

Oceana Gilliam, a Beloit College Trustee, and Justin Pearson, a representative in the Tennessee State Assembly, will be the speakers during Beloit College commencement ceremonies on May 11.

BELOIT - Rep. Justin J. Pearson, who was expelled from the Tennessee State Assembly for speaking against gun violence, and his fiancee, Oceana R. Gilliam, a Beloit College trustee, will address the Beloit College graduating class during commencement ceremonies on May 12.

Gilliam, a Beloit College Trustee since 2021, also serves as Pearson's chief of staff.
